Sitting in the ballroom at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, many of us wondered what Acumatica could possibly add to their already forward-thinking ERP. Tim Rodman, a self-proclaimed “recovering” CPA and Acumatica aficionado, gave us some great insight into one of the major updates to the 6.0 release: the addition of pivot tables (You can read more about his thoughts on pivot tables here).
Acumatica has always had a strong UI with great insights into business, but now you can customize this look and feel depending on your job role.
Another great update presented—my personal favorite—is the new integration with Microsoft Outlook and Acumatica’s built-in CRM. Using your CRM, you can turn the email sender and company into contacts with just the click of a button. There’s no longer a need to re-enter all of the contact information “when you have more time” later on... and let’s be honest, it’s perfect because if you’re anything like me, chances are you may or may not have forgotten to come back to that task at least once.
Among the highly anticipated updates with this release are the new dashboards
available directly on your Acumatica home screen. Acumatica has always had a strong UI with great insights into business, but now you can customize this look and feel depending on your job role. Are you a Sales Manager? Have your KPIs, top three sales people’s monthly sales, ROI, and pipeline all on your home screen. Are you the CFO? Track expenses, shipments, sales, and upcoming meetings all in your dashboards. It’s really quite clever the way Acumatica has designed the new UI, allowing you to build it the way you want, and even deploy it companywide.
