REPAY was founded in 2006 to serve and bring payment technology to the consumer finance industry. Since then, REPAY has expanded into other markets, but consumer finance continues to be a primary focus, and AFSA continues to be one of our most valuable partnerships.
The American Financial Services Association (AFSA) was founded in 1916 and is the primary trade association for the consumer credit industry. Its mission is to promote safe, ethical lending to responsible, informed borrowers and to improve and protect consumers' access to credit.
REPAY became an AFSA member in 2011 and is currently a 7-star partner and a business partner board member. Additionally, REPAY attends and sponsors several AFSA events annually, including AFSA Vehicle, AFSA Independents and the AFSA Annual Meeting. REPAY didn’t begin as a 7 Star partner but progressed into the position over years of working with AFSA team members, other board members, and event attendees.
